How many regattas do you have per day?

We sail up to 4 regattas per day, depending on our ever-changing schedule.
The regatta times are 8.30am, 10.30am, 11.45am and 1.30pm.


How can I book?

If you are visiting the island of St.Maarten on a cruise ship, it is best to book your “America’s Cup” crew position directly with your cruise line. You can do this online on the cruise line website, or with the shore excursion desk onboard your ship. If you are staying in a hotel on St.Maarten, contact your hotel activities desk when you arrive.

How long does the trip last?
The tour takes about 2 ½ to 3 hours depending on wind and sea conditions.

Can we bring our children on the tour?
We do not encourage children under the age of 12, unless they are from a sailing family or are very strong or big for their age.

How many people are on each boat?
Each boat takes a minimum of 9 and a maximum of 18 passengers, in addition to our own crew of 3.

How will I know what to do on the boats?
Before the race you will attend a briefing, during which we will give a little history of the America's Cup and select the teams. A skipper will brief you about what you can expect and give you training in your specific crew position.

Which famous boat will I get to sail on?
After the teams have been selected, a coin is tossed to determine which boat you will be racing on. Unfortunately, we can't promise you a certain boat.

Where are the boats located?
Our boats are kept on moorings in Great Bay, Philipsburg, and our compound is located at Bobby's Marina in Philipsburg.

How many yachts do you have, and what are they called?
We have five famous America’s Cup yachts in our fleet. They are Stars & Stripes 86, Stars & Stripes 87, Canada II, True North I, and True North IV.

What should we bring?
You may bring bags and towels etc. as there is dry storage below decks on the boats.

What sort of shoes should we wear?
It is best to wear soft soled shoes. Certainly no high heels and flimsy sandals.

Can I bring my camera or will it get damaged?
You can bring your camera, which should remain in your bag (below decks) until after the race, when there will be time for photos on your sail back to the tender.

Will we be able to get something to drink on board the boats?
There are complimentary drinks on board: water, soda, and beer.

Are there restrooms on the boats?
There are no toilets/heads on board our yachts, although there are plenty back at the compound. Be sure to go before you leave if you think you wont last 3 hours.

Will I need to bring any money with me?
You might like to bring a few dollars for crew gratuity if deemed appropriate, and perhaps you would like to purchase a souvenir of your exciting sail.

What does your boutique stock?
Back at our compound we have a boutique which carries replica crew t-shirts, caps, skippers polo shirts, Tilley Hats, etc, and a fantastic full color action photograph of you racing in your first America’s Cup.

Do you accept credit cards or US dollars?
We accept US dollars Cash, Travelers Checks, Visa Card and Master Card. We DO NOT accept American Express, Novus, or Discover cards.
