CANADA II:
Designed by Bruce Kirby, the designer of the famous “Laser” range of sports boats and chief designer at C & C for many years. CANADA II started life as CANADA I, the 1983 Canadian America’s Cup contender. In 1986 she was extensively modified in the bow and stern and was fitted with a winged keel. Canada II was the Western Canadian Challenge and is generally regarded as being the fastest light air 12 Metre boat in the world.
