Roland Richardson is attracted to and creates from colour, an artistic motivation that is easily satisfied on Saint Martin/Sint Maarten where the air and water are pristine and the colours vibrant. Richardson’s family island roots are deep. His great-grandfather was the Mayor of French St. Martin, and the building which houses the art gallery dates back to his original family settlement.
